A Question about Spelunky
As you've told me, Spelunky was made with Game Maker. So this means games made in the Game Maker Engine can be put on XBLA? Or did they have to use different code, like C++. They used the same sprites, textures, music, sounds but different code?

A GAME DEVELOPMENT POLYMATH
Are there any famous game development polymaths? I've seen so many different roles/occupations in developing games. A person could spend thier life learning new things about Game development. Which sounds awesome to me. Someday game development will be in high schools. Hopefully when I'm 40 or 50 (s...

Re: What Makes a GOOD Platformer?

Master Touch Typing = Better Programming Experience?
Does mastering touch typing effect or improve your programming experience?
Do you know any programmers who touch type?
Do you touch type?
Let me know. I failed touch typing class in 1st-3rd grade. But I found an app that could teach me for free.

Re: What Makes a GOOD Platformer?
Alright then, btw, I'm going to use a game specific language instead of a multipurpose language. Hopefully you guys will look past that when it's finished.

Give me some of your ideas/opinions please. After I learn/study for a few years, I want my first big project to be a platform game.
