Re: Good Books/Tutorials on Java?
Here's some video tutorials on Java: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=84A56BC7F4A1F852 - this one is actually a bunch of hour long lecture on Programming Methodology (a CS class at Stanford!). Really good teacher and great vids in general but if you can already program it's probably too slow ...

Yeah, I would guess that you guys would definitely appreciate how we have encorporated Rock Band into the series.

Re: PrototypeD
Looks damn sweet to me. Agreed that you don't want too many buttons, perhaps make the Focus Fire ones into 3 sliders for light, medium and heavy? Also wondering how distinguishable the players and enemies will be from the background. They seem to blend in a bit too much, but that could just be the s...

Re: We're going to die.
There has been a pretty massive hype by the media. From what I've read it appears that you're only at risk if you have a crap immune system and/or bad hygeine. People recommend washing your hands frequently and not touching your face. Still hope you don't get it dude! Couldn't bear there being no CH...

I can hear the engineers two cubicles down playing "The Adventures in Game Development Chapter 8" and laughing at our Rock Band performance. ..never tell anybody at work that you're on Youtube. The worst part is that now they know I can actually code. I can't play ignorant anymore. XD Lma...

He did state that he wasn't about to make one..he just wanted some info. A lot of 'noobs' do ask how to make em and it is annoying but we should be willing to help people who are genuinely after information and don't use RPG maker

Definitely agree with you PIP. Some folks I've talked to have also predicted a 'hacker uprising' if something like this in put in place. Damn, that could be awesome.

Re: Really Usefull Header I made (Window's Key/Mouse Inputs)
Looks pretty cool... Am I right in thinking you need a kind of 'game loop', or for instance if I put this with no loop or anything..
Will it wait till the A key is pressed before proceeding?
Sorry if this is a dumb question
Code: Select all
if(Input::KeyIsDown::A())
{
//DO SHIT
}
Sorry if this is a dumb question

Net Neutrality (UPDATE)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_neutrality I've been trying to follow this for awhile now. From what I've gathered, the EU is voting on the Telecoms Package this Wednesday, and if the vote goes one way it will give ISPs a lot more control over what goes down, including allowing them to block an...

Looks good to me, and congrats! I think for me just getting Allegro working was one the most satisfying things I've done with it :P Oh by the way, if you get problems when alt-tabbing out of your Allegro game, put this after allegro_init(): set_display_switch_mode(SWITCH_BACKAMNESIA); Simple, but no...
