Re: First-person Tetris
Yeah it's pretty tough. I've only managed to get 17,620 points so far. You can mess yourself up bad when your trying to rotate close to the stack.

Web shows and reviewers?
Hey all. Been gone for some time due to a few projects I had under my belt. I dunno how often I'll be around because life has gotten a bit busy but I figured I drop in again. Anyhow on to the topic at hand. The recent work I have been doing with a few web based shows had got me wondering. What kind ...

Re: First Console?
It's been so long I can't remember clearly. Though I'm sure it was one of the Atari systems.

Re: Simple, Brilliant 2d Game
That was really cool. Not sure if there was a point to it but still cool. I like how the artists was able to express so much with such a low pixel depth.

Re: My first 3D Model!!!
Looks really good! Does it have a skeleton / can it be animated? I'm going to be adding a skeleton once I'm happy with the model itself because it still has some... issues... seems that some polygons are inside out?? Whatever I dunno... the UV shows on the inside of the mesh but it's see through on...

Re: My first 3D Model!!!
Never used Blender so I'm not sure how to find poly count display in that program.Tried doing a web search but most pages are blocked at work so no luck finding an answer.

Re: My first 3D Model!!!
Very good. I like it. Poly count isn't that big of a deal, it's the quality of the model that matters, not how many polygons are used. Very good model. I'm just not sure it measures up to my master standards. I mean really, just look at my masterpiece: http://www.ozone3d.net/~geeks3d/public/satyr/2...

Re: My first 3D Model!!!
For your first attempt at something beyond simple shapes this is pretty damn good. Something like this would be a good to work off of to get a more detailed model as well. I'd suggest saving a copy and refining this as practice.

Re: Games you'd like to see remade (or demade?)
Even though I'm not a huge fan of it I'd like to see Castlevania 2 remade. It was the predecessor to games like Symphony of the night and now that they got the formula down I really think they could make it into a good game. I'd want to see it on a console though, and done in good old style sprite w...

Re: Free Unreal Engine Development kit
IMHO, I dont like unreal engine too much I like the engine well enough but the editor tool set we have at work is buggy, crashes over the most ridiculous things. At least 2.5 did. We haven't work a lot with the UE3 editor but it seems pretty solid. I'd rather be working with a different game engine...

Re: Borderlands
My friends keep pestering me to get this game. They are pretty picky bastards so it must be damn good. Maybe once I've finished some of the games I've picked up recently I will grab this too.

Re: Games you'd like to see remade (or demade?)
I know this is kind of an uninspired choice but I would love a Doom/Doom2 remake. Not something like Doom 3 though. I want it to be fast paced guns blazing demon slaughter. Doom 3 was OK but once you played through it the "surprise moments" didn't work as well and it felt like I was being...

Re: Logo Design
That red "games" was bugging me so I removed it. I agree a custom (or at least more interesting font) would improve it. I just used a generic for the example. I wonder if the OP still checks this thread.
