That's brilliantly innovative! I can't imagine the amount of maths involved to model something like this, not to mention the price of sensors they used. The government will be having a field day with this if cameras ever get good and cheap enough. CCTV on steroids.

The main thing that springs into my mind is the initial funding for the project. Because it's hardware based, things will be more difficult to get started compared to a digital product.
