Re: First Console?
First console for me was the N64. So many great memories on that thing (I still play N64 nowadays). Another memorable console for me was the PS1; those two consoles were my childhood.

Re: Good Sprite Application
I'm on windows 7 and have been using paint .NET so far. However recently I've needed to scale some sprites up by 200% and paint .NET makes my sprite all blurry :( so i have to go in and re color everything. So I'm wondering if there is a better way. You're not supposed to use 'best quality' or 'smo...

Re: Allegro help needed.
The way I learned Allegro was by using that tutorial (http://www.loomsoft.net/resources/alltut/alltut_index.htm). After that I would read through the API manual (http://alleg.sourceforge.net/stabledocs/en/allegro.html) and learn from there. This would probably be your best bet after knowing everythi...

I know this issue is long done but I'd like to add some more proof to the obvious fact the ThenicelordJ is indeed a complete moron. ThenicelordBJ, you're fucking retarded. You copy this wikipedia article here in an attempt to prove to us that you're actually knowledgeable? I call your bluff, good si...

Re: What is the point of programming?
Programming is something for the people that like to create something out of nothing... The fact that nothing more then your time and knowledge (and a computer) can be made into anything you dream of creating is what keeps me so interested. It also kind of makes me happy knowing that I can do things...

I use MSVC 2008 and it's done it's job quite nicely for me. But I'm not too sure if you can get MSVC on Linux.

Re: SFML Help
What happens if you don't give the 32 as parameter but just 800 and 600? The 32 is just the color depth (which is correct). Try this... #include <SFML/Graphics.hpp> using namespace sf; //This just makes it so you don't have to keep typing sf:: before everything. int main() { RenderWindow App(VideoM...

Re: [GroundUpEngine] progress in SFML
Hmm I've checked out the SFML website and I'm considering switching to it. Anyone that has used it and wants to spare some insight on it's functionality, ease of use, power, flexibility, etc. that would be awesome. I'm trying to get out of Allegro because it's not quite doing my games justice nowad...
