Re: A new RPG class?
Nah, there are really only 4 roles in an rpg. Tank, Damage, Healer, Ranged. I suppose one could argue Controller is seperate from those 4 (i.e.- status effects, mind control, damage over time).

Re: Did anyone founnd Fallout 3 to be similar to Anarchy Online?
I mean... C'mon... the huge amount of skills, energy weapons, repetitive subway stations with ROACHES!!! And Alien/Mutant enemies. Never played Anarchy. But I did find Fallout 3 to be similar to Fallout 2 mixed with Oblivion. Who would have thought!!?!? Also, Fallout 3 was fantastic. Grab the broke...

Re: A good GBA / easy console SDK?
I disagree. Coming from a Dreamcast background, our SDK is waaaaaay better documented and way easier to use. Well, I think that might be true.. but honestly who says DCs laying around these days? its all PSP hacking going on now days, bigger audience and possibly more power full than the DC Uh-oh, ...

This is very cool and innovative. I can definitely see something like this going up on xbox-live arcade.

Re: Buying a 2nd console... PS2 vs NDSLite
Can the newest PS2 Slims play original Playstation games like FFVII and VIII ? I've probably played every one of my ps1 games on my ps2 with no problems sans one game: Final Fantasy V. This game came with the Final Fantasy Anthologies collection for ps1 and has known issues with the ps2. It was def...

Re: Buying a 2nd console... PS2 vs NDSLite
Can the newest PS2 Slims play original Playstation games like FFVII and VIII ? AFAIK PS2's in general work with all PS1 games (I haven't found any that don't work yet, but then again I don't own many games). The only problem which really sucks with playing PS1 games on a PS2 (at least the slim vers...

Re: Buying a 2nd console... PS2 vs NDSLite
Read my post here http://elysianshadows.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3156&start=15#p41496 for reasons why I would strongly suggest picking up a PS2. Although the NDS is truly the best handheld in existence. Do yourself a favor; if you pick up the NDS, grab an R4 revolution for homebrew stu...

Re: Final Fantasy XI Online
Wow aamesxdavid, thanks for the term paper on FFXI that you wrote for me there. I will take all of that information to heart. The good thing is I have about 4 personal friends that have been playing for a while, and they actually know several people in-game so I will definitely have parties to roll ...

Re: Final Fantasy XI Online
I've played that game for about 3-4 years. I've got to warn you that it takes a lot of partying to get to a decent level. Also soloing isn't much of an option because most things at higher level can kill you. Of course i haven't played in quite some time so im not sure what significant changes that...

Edit: looks like you meant 4, since youre talking about cecil, where did you get 2 from?
Looks like you weren't part of the SNES generation.

Final Fantasy XI Online
Anyone play this currently or in the past? I have a couple friends trying to get me to try it but I don't know if it will be worth it. Not sure how it compares to games like WoW or Everquest when it comes to the time you need to dedicate in order to actually have fun.
