Re: "Breakout Clone".. I know it's lame.
It is far from lame. My GF has a saying... "It is not how well you do something that is important. It is that you do it." The reasoning behind it is that people love to critique others, often negatively, very few of those people actually even try to do anything of value. Keep up the great ...

Re: what my friends of facebook talk about in status'
Some people just put the most inane status updates. I tend to do delete them just in case stupidity is catching.
The only one currently on my FB that I can even relate to is...
"You know what the trouble about real life is? There's no danger music."

If you are having trouble seeing it. Try forcing your eyes to focus past the image.

Brilliant cartoon!
Yep Alan Turing had it hard. Helped to defeat the nazi's, but prosecuted for being gay. I briefly remember Gordon Brown making an apology on the news for the way he was treated back then. Not that makes up for anything.

Re: What Console Would You Want to Dev For?
It has to be the SNES. My all time favourite console. As for the current gen of consoles I think one lone developer would struggle to create something truly awesome. Sure the 360 and the PS3 have all that graphics power, but a one-person team is not likely to be able to create enough content to full...

Re: Uni getting me down: Asteroid Miner
Looks really good.
The only suggestion I have, is that you could add a particle effect, when a collision between the ship and an asteroid takes place. If you use small enough particles that are the same colours of the asteroids it should give the impression that some debris has been knocked loose.

Re: Fall Of The Republic: The Presidency of Barack Obama
This is why I have a tin foil hat in my profile pic! It's to stop the brainwashing rays the government use on us all. ;) ....but seriously, I prefer the philosophy "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." I have a friend who buys into all this crap. ...

Re: 2D Parralax Scrolling
This time I have changed the plasma cannon into a beam weapon. My first attempt was very basic and simply created a larger instance of the bullet class. Each one had an alpha value and they were set up to overlap. I didn't like this and neither did the frame rate as it would create a couple hundred ...

Re: CSI used VB to track IP addresses
I always find it amusing/annoying when they zoom in on CCTV footage and turn a 9 pixel representation of a face into a full 1920x1080 image.
