Re: Schools`
Well Jake Chappell it would not be that hard if I was really interested, but I'm not. I did not want to know that info to use against you, rather to try and understand where you are coming from. :| I will leave you with this tid bit about "maturity", maturity is not something you get and ...

Re: Schools`
May I ask what you age is, and what level of schooling you have completed, and what particular fields. PS: I so do apologize for inconveniencing and seems somewhat entertaining you with my horrible grammar and spelling, English is not my first language. No you may not ask that. I'm not giving you a...

I'm just going to ignore your personal badgering and assume they are just a way for you to amuse yourself in this oh so boring internet world. This is pretty much the only place I respectfully disagree with you. You're allowed to think that getting someone pregnant (or becoming pregnant yourself) gi...

hahah omg... so what if a 50 year old has a gun and goes balistic and kills 20 people.. is he or she then also not mature enough to have a gun. and if in fact that is your OPINION, how do we discover who is and who is not mature enough to do anything, including owning a gun. you have got to have th...

Re: Schools`
Do you really think that you should have absolute control over another person simply due to biological relation? Only until the child is mature enough to make its own decisions. Yet when I ask for the scientific properties of one's personality that makes them "mature", you have nothing to...

Re: Schools`
this statement completely relies on the fact that you have the faculties to be able to do it independently. which means alone! not with a book. No, independent learning doesn't necessarily mean without books. i dont know where you went to school. but all my education was satisfactory, AND I WENT TO...

Re: Schools`
I never said that everyone educated enough to understand would continue going to school, just that many more would (see: lesser-of-two-evils argument). And I never said if was fool-proof - again, simply that it was better than allowing someone to ruin their own or someone else's future before they ...

Re: Schools`
Well, you kind of hinted at the problem with your idea, but I think you underestimate the ineptitude of a lot of parents. Being a parent requires less qualifications than being a teacher - none . You're relying on the same people that can sit and pray over their dying child rather than bring them t...

Re: Difference between MUD and MMORPG
MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon, which is basically a text-based multi-player RPG game that is generally played through a MUD client (or defaults to Telnet).
I used to play them... a lot. Check out this article for a more descriptive analysis of a multi-user dungeon.

Re: Schools`
Some of the things I said may have came out wrong or weren't presented in a fashionable manner. I doubt anyone would argue that, though I'm sure plenty would argue your implication that all schools spoon-feed said bullshit. Even if the majority do, it's no reason to assume that self-teaching is the ...

Re: Schools`
I don't like the idea of public school, just the idea of learning. For one, independent learning is always superior to being spoon-fed bullshit. Second, most teachers suck at teaching and need to go back to school themselves. Third, many of the people in a public school don't actually want to learn ...

I use that method too, but I also put an additional space between the if, else-if, and else statements like:Ginto8 wrote:Code: Select all
if() something; else something;
Code: Select all
if (conidition)
result;
else if (condition)
result;

Re: I just lol'd so hard
Exactly. Visual Basic was just used as a shitty mediator between power and easy syntax (I know, I'm biased). By the way, some extremely useful information for anyone trying to utilize Visual Basic for gaming purposes... the VB equivalent of a C "struct" is called a "Type". Every...

Re: I just lol'd so hard
Hehe, visual basic actually can be used to make great games. I've seen some Isometric 2D MMORPGs in Visual Basic 6 that ran fast and well. It all depends on the programmer and their methods of manipulating the programming language to do what they want it to do. In the case of those RPGs, they were p...
