Re: Adventures in Game Dev Video Archive
So it's been a while since I've posted anything on this sight or been actively keeping up with the ES scene. But now that I've graduated High School and Completed Basic Training/AIT I thought it would be time to pick up where I left off and get back into game development. So as always I started loo...

Re: Elsyian toolkit
How do you propose to make a game for the toolkit?
The toolkit isn't a platform. Neither is it "Game Maker" It's a tool to help develop levels.

First you need to learn C#. After doing that you should learn the PS SDK.

Re: Peter
I just saw this post after already replying to the one in the livestream thread. I will remove it from there if you don't mind and give your answer here: We get this ALL THE GODDAMN TIME. Marcel was kicked off for not doing shit, and Peter basically dropped off the face of the earth when he started ...

Re: Windows.h
Well...you could write your own simplistic OS. So then when you're given the "meat & taters" of something like Windows or even Linux, you wouldn't know what you were looking at anyways ;) Linux, Unix, Windows, OS-X, everything you're familiar with is all monolithic kernel. So there's ...

Re: Windows.h
I can't help but wonder if you are referring to kernel/user space. kernel space has complete access to memory and other such hardware resources. The memory can't be accessed by processes of the users, preventing user programs to read or write to other user programs etc. User space is unable to acces...

Re: Windows.h
Microsoft's software is proprietary so you won't be able to view their code. You can always read the documentation http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/dn308572 to find out more about their libraries etc.

Re: Where did it all begin for you?
Urgh. Where to even begin? From an early age, I was introduced to technology. I lived with my Dad, didn't know my mother up until very recently.Dad used to enjoy playing the gamez, my earliest memory was of me in a crib, and Dad and his friends sat around a console playing Final Fantasy. I remember ...
