Small Games made in Short Time

Hey! I just started some speed-game development, or what it is called - I make games in very few hours. So far, I have made two very small games. If you just want to watch, here you go. But more, and important stuff, is listed below. (The most interesting one is the second) Reaction/Timer game: xeTM...

Re: Buying Speakers.

Just buy a headset and pass it along.

Jk. Any cheap 2.1 would be powerful enough to fill a room with over 20 people.
I have a set of cheap tabletop Creative speakers (with 1 small sub), and it can get really, really loud.
Quality is not the best, but would work wonders in a classroom.

Re: Just questions.

Can someone explain the keywords static and final used in methods and variables? P.S. : (Optional) I'm trying to figure out also how public, private, protected work for both methods and variables, but I think i can figure this one out on my own. They are not hard to be explained/understood theoretic...

Re: Pong clone in C with SDL/GL (code example).

As you gain experience, you reach a point where basic examples (and R eading T he F ucking M anual) is enough to make you comfortable, but as a programming virgin it's daunting to slog through documentation and trying to make sense of it with no frame of reference. Hopefully this will help someone ...

Re: Equality vs. Assignment

One time I was sick, I actually wrote if(x != true)

It's been a while since I wrote only one =, but when it happens, it takes forever to find the mistake, because who the fuck would think they wrote only one =? xD Always the last place I look.

Re: Opinions

I agree with you. Boys and girls get raced differently, and they look at their mother and father and watch the difference between them. A boy might get action figures, toy cars and such for their birthday, and girls might get dolls, princess costume and such. There's a lot of factors that plays a ro...

Re: What projects are you currently working on?

I am working on a 2D "turned based" Roguelike game, if I can call it that. You move from tile to tile each move. The game should go from floor to floor, and if you die, you must start all over again. I don't like to sit and think for too long about my moves, so I will try to make it more a...

Check out this site: http://www.pixelprospector.com/the-big- ... -graphics/
Browse through the "2D Graphics" section. Maybe you'll find something there.

Your view on Secrecy while in development

I am curious about what you guys think is "too little" or "too much" to share when it comes to your projects. Do you want to share everything to the public, or do you try to keep everything a secret? Or somewhere inbetween? For me, I'm afraid that my ideas will be "stolen&qu...

Re: Developer's Resolution

I'll start: For me, 2014 was mostly a mess for me, due to some personal issues, but I managed to get a whole lot stable when it comes to making games for Android. I'm almost done with my first serious game for the platform! Programming for PC was something that I just put aside and kinda forgot. Whi...

Developer's Resolution

2015 is slowly creeping in on us, and 2014 is soon just a thing of the past.

Please write a little about what you have accomplished in 2014, whether it be in code, art, or game development in general.
And write a little about what your hopes for 2015 are!

Re: What projects are you currently working on?

Well, I was working on rewriting my engine, mostly to switch over from SDL to OpenGL. But then I got distracted by libogc. So now what little I have done of my new engine, also cross-compiles to GameCube... so that's pretty cool  Wow, that's cool! Would be awesome to make a game for the GameCu...
