Re: Dark Magic - nessGames
Fixed youtube tag. Just put the video id between the tags, rather than the full URL, if you want it to work correctly. Ah, thanks for that. Other forums used the URL. Noted! No problem. Project looks pretty awesome by the way. Keep us informed. Thanks! Anyway, made a little video and blog post show...

Re: Chaos Rift XNA Developers
I'm an XNA dev, and I'm not ashamed! I just feel more comfortable with it, than using opengl or pure directx. Atleast for now, I do want to move onto c/c++ for multiplatform development.

Re: TV Man - 2D sidescrolling platformer development
Hey guys. Another update. I've added in a debug console, power ups (although they don't work yet), new art, a little idle animation and levels now load from files instead of being randomly generated/hardcoded. Quick screenshot: http://up2go.us/static/img/debugconsole2.png Should have another YouTube...

Re: TV Man - 2D sidescrolling platformer development
Quick question: Why do you outline your "dirt/grass blocks"? It would look a lot more fluent if you had no outline, so it would look like one big nice platform, instead of 100 lego bricks :p However, looks pretty sweet. Good luck! :D It was mainly for when I was drawing so I knew the boun...

Re: TV Man - 2D sidescrolling platformer development
Oddly enough, I barely watched/watch any TV. If that was the case he'd be called PC Man ;Dk1net1k wrote:this is what happens when you watch too much tv as a kid

http://i55.tinypic.com/muhe2g.png Here's the example its not great but I've tried to make some of it more rounded. Let me know what you think. ;) The idea of having greyscale for the face is an interesting idea. perhaps you could have the face animate like its switching from channel to channel mayb...

Re: Rate my sprite/advice needed
That is a really nice sprite. :) If you want some criticism I have some suggestions 1. the left side of the body is a straight line while on your draft it is curved. 2. the left side of the right leg is again a straight line not curved like the draft. 3. the tv set and some parts of the body could ...

Rate my sprite/advice needed
Hey! I've just spent some time doing this sprite out of some concept work. I like it so far, however I feel it needs some extra detail, touchups and some colours changing. I'm a programmer, and spend very little time doing any kind of art. Essentially, I'm looking for advice on how to make the sprit...
