Re: lua ide

The only things I can think of that would make it any different from a text editor is Syntax Highlighting, and maybe calling Lua to execute the script. Unless there was some sort of real-time syntax error checking, that would probably be rather difficult to program.

GyroVorbis on Sat Nov 01, 2008 1:34 am Damn, this entire board is up devving tonight. This morning, haha. I haven't been doing a whole lot of devving lately. I'm being forced to program in Visual Basic, and debugging that for 3 hours of my school day every day doesn't really motivate me to come hom...

Re: My journey into C++ game development!!!

That reminds me: A few weeks ago we had a "game day" in computer science class where everyone that wants to brings in their game system of choice and we all play video games for the 1 1/2 hour class. The only consoles I have are PS2 and Atari, and my friend was borrowing my PS2 at the time...

Re: Taking my DMV test today...

In New Hampshire even if you take Driver's Ed you don't get road test waiver :P. I had to take it anyways. I did absolutely terrible (don't wanna go into details) and still passed. As for the written exam it was SOOO much easier than my 100 questions + short answer Driver's Ed final. Biggest thing a...

Re: Would Pascal be a dumb idea?

I would definitely recommend learning Pascal over anything like Visual Basic for your first language. In my opinion it teaches far better programming techniques.

I doubt I'll do anything special, nobody comes to my house because i live in the middle of nowhere. I might go hang out with friends, or sit home and do whatever.
