Re: Terrain art tutorials?
You could check out Gas13, http://gas13.ru/v3/tutorials/sywtbapa_a ... s_tile.php he uses grass as an example, but you could apply similar logic to other types of terrain.

Re: Adding weapons to my game?
Hey trufun, thanks for taking the time to reply. Aside from reading about them, I have absolutely no experience with classes, so I'm going to make a stab at coding what I think you're recommending: class character { int x; int y; public: int MountItem (std::string); int Update (); int Draw (); }; cl...

Re: Assembly, lol
Maybe I'll try and learn it again some time.
@Gyrovorbis - How do YOU program in assembly? What editor/compiler do you use? I know there's some sort of assembly debugger built into windows if you type debug in the run prompt, but I only get the basic concept of how assembly even works.

Re: Adding weapons to my game?
Yeah, the arms of my sprite could almost hold a sword the way they are right now. Holding a gun would need a few adjustments, but there's no deadline for this project.

Re: Adding weapons to my game?
Yeah I was thinking of drawing the character and then the weapon on top (didn't think of arms though, hehe). And as for the programmer/artist getting along, I'm both right now so that's the easy part :). I guess it comes down to personal preference, and the number of weapons I want to add. Just 5 - ...

Adding weapons to my game?
I'm just curious as to how you added/would add weapons to your game (if you even use weapons)? Or will it just be casting spells of some sort? Whether or not you use weapons is somewhat irrelevant, I'm just not sure how I should do it. Would you keep the same character sprites and just display the w...

Re: Spoof of Adventures in Game Development...
Supposedly there's 6 people on the team (according to their site), but you're right about there only being one programmer. Jonny Eden - Programmer, Designer Jordan Blakey - Artist, Designer Justin Overton - Technical Advisor Jeremy Eden - Business Manager, Designer Jesse Leverett - Designer Ty Daust...

Run-on sentence.. makes it seem as if YOU are installing the rep(utation) meter. Also, saying the whole word makes it slightly more understandable. Glad someone could help you fix your clip problemWill fix that and Install a rep meter so I can spam Dr.House with good rep.

Re: Spoof of Adventures in Game Development...
That's an excellent idea lol.. you can't torrent signatures! (i think..?)edit: I don't want people to say "I'd buy it... but I'm just going to download it." They'd have to say "Goddamn, I want all the extras!!"
