Re: How can I learn math online?
The best way to go would be adult education. But if you don't have money for books, I doubt you have money for that. Then the second best way would to teach yourself using books. Now, I realize you said you didn't have enough money but you can pick up used books pretty cheap if you look hard enough...

Re: How can I learn math online?
Could you give a few examples of how basic your skills are? If you're a decent programmer you obviously have some math skills, but what sorts of things do you need help understanding? I understand programing and all the math that comes with it but I don't understand most of the symbols in algebra a...

How can I learn math online?
Well I can program like a beast since I started when I was 7. I was home schooled and since my mother never actually made me do anything, I had a plenty of time to do what I wanted to do and then I was happy about it but now I'm 20, I lack basic skills like math and hand writing. I hate my mother no...

Re: Is FL Studio Express good for a beginner?
The demo has full features and the express edition has stunted features so there is no way I could know what features are important since I don't even really know how to make music. Which is why I'm asking.cypher1554R wrote:Why don't you just download it, and decide if you want to buy it afterwards.

Re: Is FL Studio Express good for a beginner?
What I mainly want to know is if the express edition is good enough for me because when I look around people say to get the one that's $100 at the very least but that's starting to sound a bit high to me

Re: Is FL Studio Express good for a beginner?
You want to make music? There is no way to tell exactly what you're going to be good at using. The best way is if you download a try before buy version, and check out some how-to reference. If you like it, you can buy it. Is FL Studio good software? My personal opinion: Yes, I tried it. And it has ...

Re: Best way to clear only the viewport in DirectX 10?
I wasn't saying use SDL, I was asking if that did the same type of thing. Update a portion of the screen. If you're not drawing to it any more, then... Trask's solution doesn't work? Yeah it's kinda like that, You create a render target which is only suppose to use one area of a window or texture a...

Re: Best way to clear only the viewport in DirectX 10?
No thanks this is a 3D engine that is being built for many years from now so DirectX 10 is a viable option for me, though clearly microsoft has not smoothed out all the rough edges yet.MarauderIIC wrote:Are you looking for a DirectX equivalent of http://sdl.beuc.net/sdl.wiki/SDL_UpdateRect then?

Re: Best way to clear only the viewport in DirectX 10?
Well some random guy on the XNA forums said the only way to do it is to use a quad, so since I have nothing else to go on it's my only option.
