Re: The 12 Days of Devving

On the sixth day of devmas my true love gave to me 6 circuit boards, 5 Sega Dreamcasts, 4 GPUs, 3 LCDs, 2 terabytes, and a brand new expensive IDE!

I think the 12 Days of Devmas is going to be a hit single, guys! XD

Re: [SDL] Delta Timing Question

changeInPosition = changeInPosition * dt; //dt = delta ballPosition = ballPosition + changeInPosition; //both are vectors That's your problem there... So I'm guessing "changeInPosition" represents your velocity? So let's take a look at what happens each frame starting from 100: //changeIn...

Re: Game Engine Troubles

Or for statically compiled code that's separate for the engine? Or perhaps both :o? Both. We support the abil...

Re: Game Engine Troubles

Welcome to having no runtime type-identification and no metatdata in a statically compiled language. ;) Even the Unity Engine requires you cast its components down when using the generic "getComponent()" function. You have a few options: 1) deal with it 2) activate runtime-type identifica...

Re: [SOLVED] Singleton Patterns - Controversy

So since my question is so related to the topic at hand, I might as well just post it: So, we've talked about this in how it relates to systems that control things such as levels and such... But what about objects that control rendering, audio, etc? Like, in the past, I'd have an object that contain...
