Re: Pixel artist wanted for business card design...
For closure on this thread, the business card was finished on time and submitted to printing before Mike's trip to the GDC in the UK last year and it was a big hit and has also been a great conversation starter on conferences he tells me :) cheers to Mike for this great idea and ++ for a most excell...

Re: Bootleg Art
So the target audience is for people who want to make a zelda game (for instance) and don't want to/can't use ripped sprites because they want to release a game without copyright infringement or maybe even sell it? Am I right or..? I don't want to be negative about this idea, but feels like a very s...

Re: Languages and linguistics
I'm not good at learning languages from books, I'd much rather learn it in practice if the necessity / opportunity ever presents itself. Agreed learning from books is difficult and then the whole necessity part :/ One thing I've found to help is watching tv in foreign languages, of course not as go...

Re: So I Gave It a Go...
Pixel art is usually done at small scales ;) Try making it like 64x64 and uploading that here. Also, I tried clicking on your app link but it got caught in a loop in the series of tubes. It was originally done on a small scale. However, the Android Market requires a 512x512 version, then I scale do...

Re: online drawing program
I misread your post, but no, you have to use the brush to create pixel art with it. The pencil doesn't do what you expect it to, it's sketchy.cypher1554R wrote:... that' not what pen tool does :]
you may be thinking about pencil tool. :P
(although you wouldn't have to, because pixlr has one)-

Re: online drawing program
It's a bit odd, but if you select the brush tool and change its settings you can create pixel art with it, just change the size and check the hard tip box.cypher1554R wrote: Wow. Nice find. Impressive.
EDIT: no pen tool though :/

Re: [School Project] Rendering Engine
That was quick :) I was just asking 'couse the terrain looked blocky, but now that I think about it the triangle placement shouldn't matter that much, however I think it would look smoother if the height of each vertex were calculated as bilinear (which I'm guessing it's not and that the height map'...
