Re: What are you playing over Xmas break?
World of Warcraft: Mother fucking CATACLYSM :( My laptop can't handle FFXIV, so I'll probably end up playing some Minecraft (don't have it yet though), and lots of NES and Genesis games on my phone. Of course, my break is the 24th through the 2nd, and half of that time will be spent recording music...

Re: Can i get your opinion? [TL;DR post].
Okay, I'm not a programmer by trade, but I'll toss my tuppence in. I cant help but worry that im making a terrible choice when it comes to going into the gaming industry. 1st, the gaming industry as a whole is not as unstable as you seem to think it is, and furthermore, not any less stable than any ...

Re: Opinions on computer specs
Definitely a nice deal. Keep in mind it also doesn't have a CD/DVD drive, but those are pretty cheap these days. Not sure what you mean by 2GB; the RAM is 4GB total - two 2GB sticks. Not many people bottleneck at RAM anymore anyway. Personally, I'd say upgrade that video card for your birthday. ;) B...

turn on the Rock music, drink your coffee, and ride that high until your shit is pristine. :) find yourself a fresh new batch of porn, new clothes, hard drugs, an excess of erasers, Jolly Ranchers, a half eaten bag of skittles, and 12 ounces of anti-arachnid spray. I'm really glad I'm not in school...

Definitely can't wait for this. Though I'll probably end up buying the extra character slots, because I'm addicted to their character creator.

Re: Art Contractor Quote, reasonable??
Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Small size doesn't necessarily mean less time - the fewer pixels to work with, the more difficult it is to get the detail you want in there. And you have 14 images in there, the last one I'm assuming will be significantly larger than the rest. Depending on just how mu...

Re: Do you think big name developers have gotten lazy?
This whole first paragraph is you just putting words in my mouth. You must have be pegged ALL wrong. That wasn't the intent at all. I don't believe your post is out of context Well, this seems to be our last remaining misunderstanding then, because I was assuming that when you said this: So, if you...

Re: Do you think big name developers have gotten lazy?
Man, you start your post off with Warren G song, and are still taken too seriously. While we're on the subject of context, those who frequent other mediums of interaction that I do are fully aware that I was making no real personal attack or accusation, and your ignorance of such a blindingly obviou...

Re: Do you think big name developers have gotten lazy?
Okay, both sides are criminally oversimplifying here. This needs to be regulated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hms5vmekId4 Okay, now that that's done... The unfortunate fact of the matter is that games are orders of magnitude more complex True, but by the same token, technology to develop these ga...

Re: Android API Amusements
Sounds just like Visual Studio's solutions. I'm not sure why you would want multiple projects connected together like that.. but I guess it might be useful to some? I wouldn't say Eclipse sucks because of it though, that's a pretty drastic conclusion for a silly mistake. It's not as if the idea tha...

Re: Android API Amusements
I've made a soundboard so far, and am trying to get the save-as-ringtone functionality. I'm not too crazy about Eclipse, but overall, it's been fun developing so far.
