I Need Something Scary

Post by Yikarso »

For some reason I've felt the need to be scared lately, and nothing is satisfying this need. I need scary movies to watch or scary stories or scary video games or a visit to a cemetery or something. If you have any ideas of something that might be scary, I'd be happy to hear em.

And I'm currently downloading F.E.A.R. . Hopefully that will give me some scariness.

Speaking of scary, I still haven't given Blair Witch back, Tyler. Just remind me some time and I'll bring it to you.

Ive got an idea....But it's probably TOO scary. There's usually a fine line between scary, and completely fucking dumb...

Try summoning the ghost of death out of the Necronomicron some time. Better yet, try to open contact to the other side through a group ritiual. Problem here is....Someone needs to be willing to be put into a trance--How about you volunteer? Or is that just TOO scary? xD

I can send you the whole book in PDF format, if you'd like it. And, it helps if you know Latin, as many of the incarnations and prayers are in the 'dead' Language.

Oh, yeah, and if you're not in the mood to be messing with things like that, you can always summon the ghost of treasure, and ask for wealth. That's freaky and at teh same time...Resourceful? lol

One of my friends recenly read a book about ghost-like events 'near you'. It's a large book, and it allows you to look up events and stuff in your city that were bizzare and places that are now 'haunted' as a result. From what I hear, it's very freaky, especially when you finish reading, and google it to find it all to be truthful.

As for movies...Though I'm sure you've probably seen them....13 Ghosts and Jeepers Creepers ((only the 1st one!)) were two of my favorite scary movies back in teh day. The killer Leprechaun movies aren't bad...Evil Dead, Army of Darkness is my all time favorite, though it's more comical than horror....But the 1st two are 'supposed' to be horror ((I personally still laugh at the corny effects...But I love them all the same.))

As for scary books...There's the necronomicron, as I said...And one of my fav authors is Christopher Pike--His books are VERY bizzare...He's WAY better than the 'king of horror' author Mr. "What's his ass." However, all of his books aren't horror--Look around, i'm sure you'll find some though. Again, his books are very bizarre, I'm sure that no matter teh genre of one that you pick up, you'd still end up liking it because of the freaky writing techniques he uses.

As for games...Uhh...I haven't really played a 'freaky' one in a while....So uh...Hm. Beats me there.

Cemeteries....Try googling ghost sighting or things in your area, then drive at 3 AM ((witches hour)) and visiting them. Then, when you arrive, bring a tape recorder and some rods ((fuck, 4got what they're called...The things we brought to the graveyard last time...)) or if you're really feeling brave, bust out a WeiGi((spsp??) board and try to communicate with the local ghost. Just don't piss it off.

Finally....If all else fails...Watch Children of the Corn, and go streaking in a corn field at night. If that doesn't make you piss yourself, nothing will.

Oh yeah, and you can always try watching 'Bloody Mary' or whatever the fuck, then attempting it. Put a candel behind you in a completely dark room ((the light it emits attracts ghosts)) and look straight into a mirror, the call "Bloody Mary" 3 times...Then allow the candle to burn out. When the candle goes out...Try turning on a tape player, and running like SHIT. That is, if you can stand to be looking into the mirror that whole time--Noone I know of to date had done so alone...I hear you see some freaky shit behind you. And when you see a person, and the candle suddenly goes out...Good luck.

Or rent something out of the Hell Raiser series....That's always entertaining, and freaky. Just don't watch the extra credits...I almost cried when I saw the main demon ((with the nails in his face)) in person without his suit...lol!!

Post and tell us what you finally did to piss yourself. xD!!

Room 1408 was decent--I saw it today, and I must say, for only being a PG-13 movie, it's a pretty fucking good horror movie. 2 hours though--Some friends were bitching it was too long...Personally, I didn't mind, I liked it. But I guess it just depends on your taste.

Watch Feast I heard it is one of the scariest movies made. I watched some commercials about it and it said it is barely legal. It looked pretty freakin scary.

Arce, you bitch. I told you like 5 months ago that I'd summon whatever demon or creature or whatever you wanted from the Necronomicron. Print me out the incantation, and I'll summon its ass on a grave or something. I'm waiting on YOU.

Wow I somehow missed these 5 replies. Sorry about that.

I'll look into some of those movies if they really are scary and not just gorefests. The Ring was scary. Something like Children of The Corn doesn't scare me, it's just messed up and violent. I want stuff that will make me check under my bed at night.

And I'll join in the demon summoning. I don't believe in em, so worst case scenario I'll just discover that demons exists.

Room 1408 is pg13, yet a horror movie ((and I good one, i must say))

In other words, little gore but nice 'freakyness.' Probably not a movie that'll make you check under your bed, but if you're about to go to 'summon a demon' or explore an old hotel or something...You just might piss yourself.

*tisk* *tisk* *tisk* :(
marcel.. room 1408 was not scary at all + jeepers creepers was so corny! the dead people had fake plastic lines around thier necks colored red! i'm serious. watch when he falls down the chute + finds the dead couple sewn together. you'll see what i'm talking about.
i'd like to watch the demon summoning... or just take some pikatures and post them or something.

i have to agree with marcel on the christopher pike books. the eternal enemy is one of my faves.. and the collection of his short stories. if you like weird fucked up shit starring logic masters that have sex.. then i deffinatly recomend these books + i don't even like reading!

I heard the movie Descent was scary. Yes, I know this topic is old.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

The Descent had like one scary part. The rest was sorta stupid.

If you want something freaky, watch the Silent Hill movie. That movie was amazing.
This is a joke about unfunny jokes. And bad use of irony.

eatcomics, have you ever once stopped to look at the disgusting, disgraceful degradation of your own intelligence that is your own posts? Are you capable of spelling like a normal human being? I'm sick of seeing posts that look like a 10 year old texting on a cell phone.

If you don't learn or at least put forth one tenth the effort a normal human does when he or she creates a post, I'll personally petition to have you IP banned, as your incoherent verbal defecation and blatant rape of the english language have no place on this webserver.

Also, nobody gives a damn about your request. Stop changing topics. Make your own topic, you asshat.
Everybody Lies.
