Adventures in Game Development
Moderator: PC Supremacists
Update: Gyro just uploaded the three newest videos: Game Development: Where to Begin (parts 1-3).
We've been talking about these for a while, but he's finally made them, featuring Gyro with a dissapearing beanie, and Peter + shitty DKC skills, as well as epic failures at megaman x(4?) and a few other rather nice (though now soiled) SNES titles.
What do you think? More like these? Any help?

Almost should be a podcast, hm? :)
RE "Competent" : You keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. (You use it instead of confident a few times, but I really just wanted to quote princess bride, haha :) )

I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

I did use it. Maybe I used it too much, but I like using that over confident when referring to programming, because it sounds much more negative.
Especially when you see these 14 year-old newbs that message me telling me that they're working on an MMO and learning C++. They're plenty confident in their abilities, but they're still incompetent.

Woops. Haven't to updated this topic in...A LONG time. xD
I just posted links to Falco's game Dev Marathon, as well as episodes 10 & 11. Oh, yeah, and the whole Mr. BJ episodes as well.
I'm trying to add them to the list chronologically as they were made. If I made a mistake, lemme know.
So, allow me to ask again. Which video is your guy's favorite? What would you like so see more of? What should we do/not do anymore?
Thanks.
Oh, and if anyonebody would liek more educational stuff, lemme know. I may be willing to whip out an SDL tutorial, Blitz, or even general C++.

What types of videos would I PERSONALLY like to see in the future? Well, anything that comes from you (the chaos rift dev team) has been of great interest to me thus far, so I'm sure no matter what you do in the future I'll be more than happy to watch it.. 10 or 15 times.. a day.. for the next 2 weeks I like when you just record yourselves doing your thing (while narrating now and then what is supposedly is that you're doing) as if you weren't recording for 200 trillion people on YouTube, but maybe 2 or 3 friends. So yeah, seeing that you have a new video posted always makes me happy, good luck with the......
I talk to much, lost train of thought (too many ppl messaging me).

You can add the educational side if you want, but be careful to ADD IT, not REPLACE IT with something else. I have enough educational side @ home with all the e-book guides, when I watch your videos i like to see:
A) Your progress (everything about it)
B) You guys doing what you do.. you know.. fun side
Not some guides how to do this, that..
Because if you think about it, you can't really do much. You can put a lot of effort into how to's (as it really requires effort to make something really useful), and still, I can google it and find quickly a site with detailed explanation + examples.. so.. it really isn't worth the effort.. :?
PS: It takes out a lot of precious time, you could dev instead..
