Adventures in Dream Cast Development

Post by dejai »

So after many years sitting in a corner of my house with no power cable by old dream cast grew old and dusty. Then I moved and I found it again and I found a cable and it worked.. I also found about 50 games for it that I somehow still had.. Anyway now I have a dream cast and I am going to have some fun with it. No I don't want to make another RPG, god the world has enough of them(maybe in the distant future I will make one, second thought no probably not) .. I just want to fuck around with it.

Anyway when I am settled in I will see what I can get my dream cast to do.. I have had a look at the resources available on the internet and I will try not to be a newbie and I will spend a couple days working out the tutorials before I even consider posting a question. Anyway it should be a fun experience. (I will probably get pissed off and just install Linux on the bloody thing).

I had so much fun messing with the Dreamcast in my youth. I used to walk to the local game store and spend every spare penny I had buying new peripherals to go home and screw around with.

It's an extremely powerful little machine, and there's so many accessories and other things that you can have fun with. I think it's the perfect place to start console devving.
