Blue Stinger (Dreamcast)

Post by Orgodemirk »

Not a game many have heard of, but I bought it for $4.00 at some random game store and decided to review it.

Story:N/A
Haven't played enough to officially review this aspect of the game.
(Though, I hear it is good)

Graphics: 7/10
Not too good for Dreamcast but not particularly bad.

Animations:6/10
Very Odd, clunky animations.

Sound Effects: 3/10
The sound effects are horrible.

Voice Acting: 7/10
Voice acting isn't too bad.

Music:8/10
The music is very good.

Gameplay:8/10
From what I played the gameplay was pretty nice. It has a Resident Evil style to it.

Controls:6/10
Controls are not particularly bad unless trying to fight an enemy that is moving, which most of them tend to do.

Loading:9/10
Very nice, short load times.

Replay:N/A
Haven't played enough to officially review this aspect of the game.

Other Randomness:8/10
Cussing, Bloodiness. Your partner is named Dogs.

Total - 7.4

Better than average - Worth $4.00.

Xd, I see this topic, and I think, "who the hell else has played this?".

Then, I see I posted it. That is really a horrible review, and, also, "by Orgodemir-k on Thu Nov 23, 2006 12:14 am".

I've played it and I think it is pretty good. had it when I had my first dreamcast and then when I re-bought one I got it with it. It is a decent game with some interesting ideas which haven't been repeated. most people slag it off by calling it a resi rip off which is pretty stupid if you ask me if anything thats the best thing going for it.

I finished Blue Stigner years ago and its still one of my top 10 games of all time. I really loved this game for its ability to allow character cusomization. I don't know if you got up to the bit with karate shirts and light sabers but I really enjoyed the game and it was one of the first 3d games I ever played. The story line was quite hopeless and the main actors voice was horrible but I really enjoyed the game. Infact I still have it :D I haven't played it in ages but looking back on it from a childs point of view I really enjoyed it and thats all that matters as far as I am concerned.
