If everybody is too shy or too "cool" to admit that they like Poke'mon, then let me stand up and be known as the one with the balls to admit it.
First off, I love Poke'mon. Not so much the movies anymore (I used to go crazy of them, I just don't care much about them now), but I do love the cards and most of all, the games.
Now, my favorite poke'mon type is like grass and ice. I always loved them.
I ALWAYS pick the grass type of poke'mon as my starter regardless. My favorite starter is Bulbasaur. I personally don't know all of the new poke'mon, as there are so many. However, I do remember EVERY of the 150 poke'mon in the original. So I'll state my favorites from there.
1) bulbasaur (all evolutions)
2) dewgong (dunno, just always like him.
3) gastly (every evolution)
4) venonat (all evolutions)
5) oddish (all evolutions)
6) voltorb (all evolutions)
5) all legendary birds.

I have the old blue version game. I think the only reason why I liked it was because of missing no. I don't know about you, but glitches like that only add greatness to a game.
As for the shows, movies, cards, and new games... Pathetic.

Well, yes and no. The movie series used to be great, but after 5th grade they sunk into sub-parness.
The cards are, and always will be fun to collect and just plain fun to trade and play.
The games are beautiful works of art. The trading, the multiplayer and just the mechanics. There is even a glitch in silver and gold version that allows duplication of Poke'mon. Poke'mon might be dead to you guys, but for me and the people that I grew up with:
Coal
Showdin
Arce
Poke'mon will live on!
I just think you guys think you're too "cool" to like poke'mon, which is really stupid if you ask me.
