Why I hate AIM sometimes...

Random irrelevance that just didn't fit into other forums. Talk about anything.

AFAIK I'm the only person who's ever taken any real administrative action on this forum, so you're batting at the wrong person :)
This is very, very true. I have administrative powers, but I never use them.

Marauder is here to be the actual administrator so that I can prance around spouting misogynistic propaganda while talking about tits without looking like a complete hypocrite.

Haha, silly Marauder.

I still feel really bad for these kinds of people, why is it that EVERY newbie has no intention whatsoever of programming anything themselves, they all want somebody else to do pretty much the only thing that matters. A programmer without and artist or storyline can get along just fine while they're learning, but an artist without a programmer can't really do anything as far as game dev goes.

What's this nonsense of not being able to play 2d games? I have trouble playing 3d games, I simply don't enjoy them nearly as much as the good oldies. Although I haven't played very many 3d games yet :)

Yep, at least there's public domain graphics and music out there. Doesn't quite work so well the other way around.

Artists are always valuable to programmers, though. I do not know many artists that have trouble finding a programmer. I few of my friends are pretty good at being just straight game artists with no programming skills what so ever. Take the lovely Annabelle Kennedy with her stamp on the indie scene (although I believe she has some experience in programming, and she was showing me some oGL stuff the other night) and not to mention Phil Fish, he is just a straight up artist. They can glomb onto any project! They also understand the boundaries of an artist, and how to work successfully in a team. =P

But that's very much different than an 11 year old just trying to badger a programmer into conforming straight onto their project.
