I'm exactly the same way. I always use a cup and paper to capture bugs and release them outside. Whether it be a roach or spider, both of which disgust me.LusikkaMage wrote:I run away D:sparda wrote:I mean, when you see a cockroach, (and don't lie), what do you instinctively just WANT to do? I'm actually very nice to bugs, and whimper when others try to kill them. I take an empty CD spindle, capture it, and take it outside.
Only exception is flys and gnats, but only because they're hard to catch and really fucking annoying. (oh, mosquitoes do deserve to be wiped off the face of the earth too)
To me, time is too relative for me to crush a living creature. I can see it in slow motion and then I imagine what it would feel like to be crushed. I couldn't wish that on any being.

Re: Phobias
I AM afraid of dead bugs, though.
Once a cricket somehow died on my bedroom door, and when I went to open it, it's leg fell off and I freaked out. XD
And potato bugs keep dying on my lego table. Primarily in the pub my sister built.

No shit? Me too. I'd rather live spiders crawl on my face than accidentally touch a dead hollow one. Dead bugs are right up there with horses... worse even.LusikkaMage wrote:I AM afraid of dead bugs, though.

Re: Phobias
The whole ubduction thing isn't what scares me it's that there is something else, like us, out there.... I mean aren't humans horrible enough, but these things if they can get all the way to our planet they have probably seenworse things, been through more wars and all that stuf.... creepie,,,, as for phobias I don't think I have anysparda wrote:Come on guys, afraid of dying? Thats not good enough! Everyone is afraid of dying. On that note, thinking about it, is it really that scary to die? I mean, if you're dead and you know its coming no matter what, fuck it, you're DEAD, nothing matters at that point. (unless you're religious, that is, then you'll go to heaven ). Now, if you're talking about WAYS of dying, thats a different story. Burning to death is probably one of the worst (and scariest) ways of dying; I mean, you FUCKING BURN MAN!!! For instance, while cooking I burned my pinky-finger badly once (accidentally), and it freaking hurt like nothing else! Imagine the pain of burning alive, surreal...
Phobias are rare, so I don't have any. That said, I am afraid of only one thing, and its no phobia (I think I was traumatized as a kid or something). You guys might laugh, but ... Its aliens. You see, unlike supernatural things (ghosts, hauntings, etc), aliens (and alien abductions) are actually possible (according to a little thing called science). Sometimes I think of how we humans treat other beings mentally lesser than us, and I ponder that, thats how we would also be treated.
I mean, when you see a cockroach, (and don't lie), what do you instinctively just WANT to do? STEP ON IT, and kill it, right!? You think they're disgusting, and so far from our intelligence level that they are simply irrelevant. Same analogy here between us humans and extremely advanced aliens; some food for thought
