Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto (NOW WITH PICTURES)

Post by Falco Girgis »

For those of you who didn't know, Peter, Chris (DJ Yoshi), and I are going to be driving to Nashville tomorrow to see these two gods of ska play. They are both touring together, and I do believe that this is their first show on the tour. Reel Big Fish is also releasing their new album on tour before stores, so I'm totally going to get that.

Other than that, we get to party with hot ska chicks and see two of my all-time favorite bands. I got to cross off the Bosstones and Julien-K, and now I get to cross these two off. We might even get to meet them after the show.

Oh, and it's 18+, so all of the ladies are going to be legal (and probably drunk). Funny thing is that Peter is 17... He's stealing his brother's ID (they look the exact same). I'll let you all know how it goes.

I'll be the first to say it.

Fucking, Badass.

The opening act was surprisingly awesome (and really cool in person when I talked to them), Streetlight put on a hell of a show with a TON of energy, and Reel Big Fish played an awesome setlist and were funny as hell.

Great show, good venue, good fucking times.

We actually hung out with them too. I even talked to Aaron about how "Take on Me" (by Reel Big Fish) was my favorite song on Samba De Amigo for Dreamcast. Goooood fucking times. Aaron Barrett is an absolute badass, and I can now say we totally partied with him.

Dude, orgy is one of my favorite bands. That's why I like JulienK so much. That's the side project for Orgys two guitarist. I also met/hung out with both of them and the rest of JK in Nashville over the summer. Pictures on my myspace/facebook. :)
