Any Bruce Springsteen fans?

Random irrelevance that just didn't fit into other forums. Talk about anything.

Any Bruce Springsteen fans?

Post by Falco Girgis »

I'm listening to him at work. Born in the USA, Born to Run, Dancin' in the Dark. Anybody else listen to him? If so, recommend some other good songs of his. I don't have any albums.

Gotta respect The Boss. I've also been on a Billy Joel kick these days...

We didn't star the fiiire, it was always burning since the world's been turning! My AP US History teacher back in high school used to force us to listen to that befor the AP test. I love that song.

Also Piano Man is one of my absolute favorite drinking songs. "Sharing the drink we call loneliness, because it's better than drinking alone!" Been there.

My wife just pointed out the fact that Courtney Cox was in Bruce's "Dancing in the Dark" video.

Wow.

Apparently I fail as a Bruce fan...

Mmm I just learned to play the intro to Piano Man on my keyboard like last month. And Bruce's music rocks too.

There have only been two occasions in my life I've enjoyed a Bruce Springsteen song:

1) When Tegan and Sara covered "Dancing in the Dark"

2) When a co-worker played "Atlantic City" for me. If you like acoustic music, you will probably like his "Nebraska" album - which interestingly enough, he recorded himself.

I mean, he's alright, but I'm from New Jersey, and when people make fun of it, I don't defend it by saying "Hey, we have Bruce Springsteen" or anything.

Glory Days, Brilliant Disguise, Janey Don't You Loose Heart, My Love Will Not Let You Down, Sad Eyes, Trouble in Paradise
Those might be of interest, if you're still on a Springsteen-strike :)
