The swine flu has now been reported at my 5 year-old little brother's elementary school and the university that Kendall and I are attending.

Oh... and I'm taking summer classes there.

Swine flu seems to be a bit over-hyped by the media. I'm going to guess it'll blow over soon.

Yeah here in Ireland they confirmed the first case of it last week I think, the way the media played it though you'd swear 80% of the population had it.

I think most countries will be able to handle the cases they get (USA, UK, etc) it's the poorer countries that are gonna be the ones that it hits the worst.

PS Gyro, didnt mean to be insensitive earlier, I'm sure you and your family will be ok

There has been a pretty massive hype by the media.

From what I've read it appears that you're only at risk if you have a crap immune system and/or bad hygeine. People recommend washing your hands frequently and not touching your face.

Still hope you don't get it dude! Couldn't bear there being no CH17

my ma is a doc. she says there they have known about the swine flu for more than a year, and that it is no more dangerous than normal.
only people with weak immune systems. the very young, the very old, and the very sick(aids)

and you dont die from flu, you die from secondary bacterial infections. and we have anti biotics you know..

so PEOPLE, chill. you will be fine.

in fact the regular flu is worse lol, it kills more people in the same amount of time as this one, because it doesn't ONLY affect the weak ( not mean't to sound rude ).
