Buildeft2D Beta release [Cross-platform Win32 and Mac]

Random irrelevance that just didn't fit into other forums. Talk about anything.

The nilObjectException (most likely) means I was trying to access something prior to its initialization. That's entirely code related and shouldn't be an OS issue. I'll see if there was something wrong with the version I uploaded...

Has anyone else tried downloading it and is running into that problem?
Well, Now It's works on my new PC.

I saw some little bugs:

* The Tileset window is flicking.
* I think you forgot the "Zoom OUT" Button.

But, everything else is Ok!

Good Work. :)

Is the whole window flickering, or just the tiles in the window? As for zooming out, if you hold alt and click (I should probably just make this a right-click) while using the magnifying glass it'll zoom out. You can also alt-click on the button and it will turn into a Zoom-out magnifying glass, where alt-clicking Zooms In, if that makes any sense.

Just the tiles in the window!

Well I've found more bugs:

* The Fill Tool isn't working correctly, in some cases it not fill completly, or not change all Tiles correctly.
* The 4º Tool (Selection Tool?) It's not working correctly too!

Ok, I know why that is. It has to do with double buffering. (OSX does it automatically)

Yea, I should probably put out a list of known bugs. The fill tool will only fill a limited space. (i.e. if you try to fill the entire grid, it will only fill 128 tiles) Right now, I use a recursive flood-fill algorithm. So I have to limit it because of possible stack overflows. I'm changing the algorithm in the next version.
As for the selection tool, I'm not sure what tool your talking about. There are only the tools described in the wiki. You can view the wiki within the program by going to File>Help (windows) or Buildeft2D>Help (mac)

Thanks again for the feedback.

Other Known Bugs/Issues/Feature to be added
-Using the stamp tool then clicking on a tile will not change tool back to pencil
-Cursor icons for the current tool
-In Windows, the buttons don't "unstick"
-No orientation changing within stamp editor
-Remove tiles from set
-Add sub folder of images to tile set
-Tile names option
-Export used Tiles option
-Layer reordering
-Tool shortcuts and right-click (as opposed to alt)
-Select Tiles tool, and an Undo (infinite "undo" is what I'm aiming for)
-More robust stamp editor options (right now you can only use the pencil tool in the stamp editor :| )

Actually that was helpful, thanks!
Pretty funny too. Haha, I don't hate Microsoft, I just hardly ever use BMP's but I'll definitely add support for them. Edit: did you try image/x-bmp? I forgot I had added that filetype to the list of accepted image types. I will be adding other variations on bitmap, pixmap images in the next version though.

There is still some work that need to be done with the window placement. I should also note that you can adjust the size of the tile holder. By expanding it to the width of the loaded image you can view images in the entirety, rather then having to "hunt" for the pieces like a puzzle. (I'm also going to include a feature I saw in a video by "EvilNando", where he drag selected a groups of tiles from his tile holder)

I'll have to do a video tutorial when I release the next version.
