Re: Libperl++
So how is this working out for you? I might give libPerl++ a try when I have to write a parser for some clusterfuck file in the future.
Re: Libperl++
I might use it if for some reason I feel like there was something I could do in Perl and not C, as far as my knowledge of Perl goes: nothing.
I'm an altogether bad-natured Cupid.

Uhm, no shit?Pickzell wrote:I might use it if for some reason I feel like there was something I could do in Perl and not C, as far as my knowledge of Perl goes: nothing.
You can do almost anything in any programming language. Lets see you write a complex text parser in C/++. Perl is great at that. C/++ is primitive and shitty at that.
Some languages shine in areas and suck in others. You're going to have one hell of a time as a programmer with an "I have no reason to use this language, because <insert here> can do everything it can do" attitude that neglects the strengths and weaknesses of individual languages.
