History of Dreamcast
IGN made a video celebrating it's 10 years birthday. Might interest a lot of people here.
Remember to do HD and full screen.(You might have to use this link to get full screen : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh38cXXGc-E&feature=sub)

Re: History of Dreamcast
Ah yes...9/9/99 - the day that going to class became merely a suggestion. For a good month, kicking my friend's ass in Soul Calibur was way more fun that learning wtf "void main(void)" meant! Soul Calibur for DC was and IS an absolute masterpiece.
I happen to disagree with IGN about DC needing EA Sports. I ALWAYS preferred the NFL 2k games over Madden. The player models, the camera work, and the animation was far more realistic in NFL 2k. Not to mention the gameplay - Madden seems very sluggish after playing 2k. At Gamestop, we converted almost all Madden fans into hardcore Dreamcast fanatics. Even after the PS2 launch, people kept coming back for the 2k series games.
Happy Anniversary, Dreamcast - I'll see ya this afternoon for a little trip down memory lane.

Re: History of Dreamcast
Oh yes I have. I'm just sitting in networks class using random Gaussian distribution to analyze the probability of error in a network using demodulation.
I really want to watch that video, but I can't. No sound. I will be back once I have watched it to share my experiences, my triumphs, and my tears of joy with the Sega Dreamcast.

Wow, took a while for me to figure out 60% of what that meant :PGyroVorbis wrote:Oh yes I have. I'm just sitting in networks class using random Gaussian distribution to analyze the probability of error in a network using demodulation.

Because it was out several years before the Dreamcast? Or maybe because it has a f**king amazing library of games? Don't worry, you
made the right decision.
