Demonstrate projects

Post by Milch »

Hey!
Today I've been told from my professor that I should demonstrate my game - a 2D game like megaman - on open day at school.
The open day is on the 6th of november - and I have no idea what do show off.
So the question is what do people like to see?
Are there any things I have to consider?

I'm thankful for each answer ;)

grats..

well id have two sets of slides or boards or what have you..
one set for the people who just like games. so all the non technical "fun" stuff. maybe have a computer people can play on.
and another set delving into the technologies you use. design paradigms you followed. showing debug info if you have that capability.

anyways, have fun hope it goes well.
Some person, "I have a black belt in karate"

In the room there are 2-4 boards ( depends on the room ) and in each room there's a beamer.
We'll use the beamer for people who want to try it out - and for showing cool stuff like enemys.

I like the idea with the 2 boards - thanks ;D

Make sure they don't see any obvious errors, if you know of any fix them or make them occur less, maybe by taking something out or something like that... Also make sure they know the difference between commercial games and indie games... You're gonna get a lot of.... "There are so many cooler games out now!"... Yeah even I get that.. and I only showed one game... Ugh...
