Electrobud Games Dev Diary
Hi everyone,
I'd like to announce a game development video diary I'm working on with some friends of mine. The diary will cater toward development with Xcode and Objective-C. (specifically iPhone/iPod/iPad programming)
Our first project is an action/puzzle/rhythm game we will be releasing more info about later on. It will be relatively small, but will help warm me up to devving on the iPhone. We plan on doing several projects over the course of this year. (for different platforms as well)

I'd appreciate any feedback you guys have. Thanks!

Re: Electrobud Games Dev Diary
This is a very cool project!
From what I heard you were thinkin' of using XNA instead, because the engine you are working on doesn't do the job. I agree with this to a certain extent but if you worked harder on your engine, focusing on the key features you need for game/s, it would be more convenient and tailored to your needs when making more games for this platform, etc..
Best of luck with this, I hope to see more in the future

Yea, I haven't worked on the engine for very long. (all I have so far is a sprite that can move around the screen)
The main reason I am considering XNA is because I think Syntropy would feel better on an X-Box, because it's more of a console style game. From what I've heard XNA is pretty nice to work with as well. Although, I'm still tempted to roll out my own engine, so I'm not ruling that out just yet.
Hey, maybe if Falco makes libGyro public by the time I decide, I'll use that.
Sweet, glad you're interested.Sanshin77 wrote:I'm very interested, subscribed.

Nice, I know there aren't many on this forum. I think I'll do some segments on programming in Objective-C, maybe it'll get more people interested.ibly31 wrote:Subscribed! Looks great, coming from a fellow iPhone developer.
