We uploaded some a new episode, check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/electrobudgames

We also uploaded some highlights from a game design panel in San Francisco. People from the industry talk about the future of gaming and what it takes to get in the industry. Unfortunately, we didn't have a tripod so the camera is a bit unstable. I went ahead and sub-titled the part we highlight, so feel free to share your opinions on the event. ;)

Nice Chrono Trigger homage :)

The game looks really polished for how along you guys are. The art looks great and I feel like I'd have fun playing even though I don't yet understand what's going on exactly puzzle-wise. The fact that you guys seem to be having a blast making it certainly doesn't hurt!

What are you looking for as far as music?

Thanks! I put some work into it. I'm really glad people liked it.

I should explain a little more about the puzzles. The user has to match whatever image they see in the bottom left. They are given information like what pieces will appear next and what the value is for each piece. Triangles add to the puzzle-factor because their orientation is dependent on adjacent blocks. So the user has to figure out how to place what they are given and in what order. If the puzzle is completed flawlessly they are granted a significant bonus. More difficult stages will emphasize this bonus as a necessity in completing the stage. Time also has a role in scoring, so does the color of the pieces.
In the rhythm mode, the user is also scored. If they miss too many "notes" in this mode, unwanted blocks will appear to make the next puzzle more difficult. Excellent timing on the notes that were hit, will reward the player with bomb bubbles to destroy the unwanted blocks for the next puzzle. If it's the last puzzle in the set, the bomb bubbles and unwanted blocks are ignored. That's what we have so far. This is nothing like what we had in the beginning of this project, all for the better i'd like to think.

Something electronica/video game/house/upbeat. Ideally I could feature someone who is serious about music (has a band or group), particularly of those genre.

Gameplay sounds pretty fresh! Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone, but I'll find a way around that in order to get a chance to play.

The only person I know that does that style music is not someone I would recommend as a team member ><
