It shows Cloud which makes me orgasm... but then it says they want people that can do MMO type games.
So that means they're probably just requiting for Final Fantasy XIV development

Re: Square Enix Working On Next Gen Game Engine
This probably has to do with the further development of Crystal Tools which they are also using for Final Fantasy XIV. I am sooooo excited for this game. I hate MMOs, but I love Final Fantasy lore so much that it just sucks me in. They recently released the battle music for the game which is the first battle theme done solely by Uematsu himself since FFX. It sounds freaking awesome! So reminiscent of his SNES days. I started a thread on FFXIV so if anyone else is interested in it please feel free to post

Haha, I don't really like MMOs either to be perfectly honest, most online RPG games I could never get in to.MrDeathNote wrote:lol I have nothing against MMO's but you have to be aware of there ability to ruin ppl's lives.LeonBlade wrote:It shows Cloud which makes me orgasm... but then it says they want people that can do MMO type games.

I'm hoping maybe Final Fantasy XIV can sway my opinion, but I don't really want to fork over cash to play it every month either

Re: Square Enix Working On Next Gen Game Engine
That's the common misconception I see by people who don't play MMO's. They actually do save you money. Think about it, your not off buying other games, your not off going to the movies (cause your sitting in your favorite dungeon instead), if you get into it (which I don't particularly recommend) its an extremely cheap form of entertainment. That said, I played WoW for like four years and ffxi off and on so I learned my lesson... I don't plan to get into any more MMO's but I do think its good people are aware of this misconception.LeonBlade wrote:Haha, I don't really like MMOs either to be perfectly honest, most online RPG games I could never get in to.MrDeathNote wrote:lol I have nothing against MMO's but you have to be aware of there ability to ruin ppl's lives.LeonBlade wrote:It shows Cloud which makes me orgasm... but then it says they want people that can do MMO type games.

edit: I just remembered this only counts if you aren't spending money on in-game shit.

It really doesn't surprise me that they're this, in fact I'm sure they're not the only ones. Plus, I'm also sure that SE doesn't want to wait another 5 years to release a major product when the PS4 does emerge.
Dear god, they actually ported ES to a piece of celery!MarauderIIC wrote:You know those people that are like "CHECK IT OUT I just made Linux run on this piece of celery [or other random object]!!"? Yeah, that's Falco, but with ES.
