TCR influences on DC buyers?

I've heard in many posts, "Yay, I have a new DC!" or "I got a DC too" or something of the sort. Honestly and truthfully, has the chaos rift or anyone affiliated with it influenced you to buy one? Be honest, if you never met anyone that you only know from the chaos rift and you never went to the chaos rift, would you have bought one?

Yeah, I only got one cause Dev it. And I got that from the forumz.

Okay, well you see, it actually is both.

I'm the one that bought the DC and talks about it and its greatness most on the forums. But you guys bought it not for its respectable titles, but for the game-development opportunities.

You guys wouldn't know of these opportunities if I hadn't been devving for the DC. There is no way in hell I could of devved for the DC without my faithful friend and mentor.

So you see, the next time you hear either name, don't be surpised if you accidently:
