Arce's side scrolling breakthrough!

OMG! JS Lemming, ten minutes after you left the conversation in which you tried to teach me the correct way to side scroll, I considered myself a dumbass. Immidiatly after, I busted out a calculator and figured out your method of side scrolling. Then, by adding 2 lines and a few random things, my tile/array demo was a primitive side scroller. Because time is hard to get now, I didn't post this sooner, or get time to work on DEVing any, but at school I was able to bust out grid paper and make myself a working two playerSPLIT SCREEN side scroller. When I got home i just had to quickly type some crap in, and WAHLA! I had a working split screen side scroller. Because it is only blocks and stuff, no graphics, it looks pretty primitive, but I thing I can make a respectable two player game out of it. I'll try to get Gyrovorbis to upload a few screen so you can see it. If he does, itnore the primitive debug stuff. (Yes, that bar in the middle IS debug!)

Anyway, CONGRADULATE ME PEOPLE! ....Please?

I would congratulate you, but for two reasons this topic must be moved and/or deleted within 24 hours if you don't fix.

1) You're a moron. You complain about Drakor making topics relating to one person. All I see here is JSL this JSL that. SEND A PM YOU IDIOT!

2) Your horrible punctuation and neglect for any formatting like indentions and new paragraphs what-so-ever. This is acceptable in every forum but the Dev ones. These are supposed to be more "sophisticated". You are obviously not at a high enough level to be able to post here.

Fix both or I'm deleting. If you don't, you can ask showdin's permission for me to move this into RoU where it won't disgrace people.

First off, I never complained about Drakor's topic relating to one person, I conplained about the name having little to do with the actual topic, in which case, this does.

Secondly, this topic is to announce to EVERYONE that I made a side scroller, regaurdless of how many times JS Lemming's name shows up in it.

Thirdly, show me where in the rules it says that about indenting? Where?

Fourth, I thought we said that YOU wouldn't delete any more of my posts. In which case you delete my topic here, that'd be descrimination against fat people because of all the othere poorly named and written topics that still exist were not deleted while mine is. If that happes, then you can go fuck yourself. :asshole:

Man, what the hell? Don't be an ass. (Hooray for wordy filters.) This whole i'll-pick-on-my-little-brother-in-a-public-forum-because-hes-my-brother thing is pissing me off. If you want to pick on him, walk over to his room and do it.

And yes, his paragraph could be trimmed a little, so what? The meat of that whole thing is "I was able to bust out grid paper and make myself a working two player SPLIT SCREEN side scroller." And it should only be one paragraph - it's all about one topic. Anyway, GV, Don't be like Georgo.

I know that this topic is ancient. But when I heard that the Null team will not exist much longer, and I don't see NEStix happening, I know that I must do somefin by myself DEV wise. So, I'm thinking maybe a two player side scrolling shoot-out type deal? I can use part of my already made side scroller.

Or, I can finish my bomberman prototype? I never posted a screen, did I? Oh, no matter. Anyway, I want to post a few screenz of that side scrolling thing, tell me if you think it'd have any potential to bcomming a sub-par game. And yes, I am still very proud of this.

I know it's not very pretty, and the line in the middle doesn't help much. x.x That ugly blob in the middle is for de-bugging stuff, DON'T ASK. lol

Anyway, I'd like to thank free image hosting. My love goes to them.
