Anyone know of some simple animation software? I'm supposed to make an "Animated Film" for a school project (Simple project on Beowulf, has to be something 'artistic'. My original project proposal was a game, but he refused :/)... Anyways, I don't really need anything real sophisticated, but just something that I can make a short 'cartoon' with.
So thanks for any recommendations I may get :p

Flash(Seems to be easy to use/learn. Lots of tutorials)
GIMP(Free, but you have to specify exactly how many milliseconds to show for each frame)
Photoshop(Never used it, but i've heard it can do animation)

Definetly Flash from that list, you get a very nice workflow with it. And definetly do not use Photoshop for animation, it does well for animated gifs such as pixel art (and some movie formats IIRC) but it's definetly not the smoothest way to go about it. Not sure about Gimp but it may surpass Photoshop in that field. I don't have any other recommendations, I've searched for a good free alternative a lot before but not as of late, something new may pop up on Google tho.
