Ouch, Java Programmers
It's a link since the image is so insanely large, I don't want to fuck up the thread.

Re: Ouch, Java Programmers
huh? So the fact that Java programmers don't know what NULL terminated is; is a point for Java?wearymemory wrote:Oh snap! Another reason why Java's better than C/++...

Re: Ouch, Java Programmers
It's not factual, but if by "Java programmers," you mean "many programmers," and by "don't know what NULL terminated is," you mean "can't be arsed to learn what a null-terminator is because its existence is generally not pertinent," then yes.M_D_K wrote:huh? Re: Ouch, Java Programmers
I guess it's kinda countered by the fact that you don't have to know about null termination to be proficient in Java.

The funniest part of all this is that this little sketch is probably done by some C elitest not knowing that string literals ARE NULL TERMINATED.
Some person, "I have a black belt in karate"
Dad, "Yea well I have a fan belt in street fighting"

Re: Ouch, Java Programmers
they weren't string literals... they were just strings. So some programmer forgot to add a null-termination (yeah yeah, he's an idiot for managing to do that), and you get garbage. It's supposed to be humor.avansc wrote:The funniest part of all this is that this little sketch is probably done by some C elitest not knowing that string literals ARE NULL TERMINATED.
Quit procrastinating and make something awesome.
