I've completed my Poke'DEX on Poke'mon Leaf Green!

Post by Falco Girgis »

That's right, after 103:24 of play time (hrs:mins), I've finally gotten all 150 of the dirty mothers.

HS spent the night and after a rough night of doing nothing but training our asses off and scampering around trading madly, it's finally completed. I have all of them.

I went to Prof. Oak and all he said was "Oh... wow, nice. Now finish your National Poke'DEX [douche bag]".

Yeah, I caught all 150 of the classics, but I've still got about 100 more newfangled monstrosities to go.

To complete the regional Poke'dex you need to trade from Poke'mon Ruby and Sapphire. We have them both, and I'm pretty sure I'll go for it next week after Arce, HS, and Marcus have caught up.

Oh, and I went to the game freak dev room in Celadon mansion and was awarded a certificate... Whoopie do...

Anyway, yeah, you don't really get anything awesome, but you do get that warm/awesome feeling inside that you've caught every one of the little bastards...

If you like it, I don't believe in growing out of it. I think people just have impressions lain upon them by the media that something is too childish for them and thus they force themselves out of it.

I don't care for personal image. I don't give a damn about any of that. I have enough self-confidence to play a game that the whole world thinks is for 2 year olds. Hell, if a Barney/Barbie game was fun, I'd play it too.

I have no remorse.

The game is too repetative. The infinate supply of slightly altered versions doesn't help either.

I just think that there is a time when those things do get old. JS had a really good point. It is a repetitive game. Still the same old: Capture pokemon, make them your "friend", then put them into fights, become some 1337 pokemon slave driver, collect them all.

Heh heh "slave driver"

I'm surprised thier isn't a version where your goal is to free poke'mon from cruel trainer people.

It's no different than any other RPG. You guys are just hating on it because the Poke'mon "smile" instead of make putrid frowns when they fight.

You really should be ashamed. How about some people with damn respect back me up. Hyper Shadow? Showdin?

It is just like any other RPG, if you don't care about plot.
This is a joke about unfunny jokes. And bad use of irony.

I would. Tvspelsfreak, back me up here.

They are the SAME. Just because the storyline is different. Look at them both. They are ==. Yes yes. Admit that you are all Poke'maniacs...

Oh Hyper Shadow and Showdin, I'll remember this for the next time you need somebody to get your back...

They're different kinds of RPGs.
Final Fantasy is more story driven while Pokémon is collection driven.
