Kendall and I just beat Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) and Dragon Quest IX (DS) today.

Nothing starts spring break quite like laying around the house in your bathrobe drinking beer and playing video games. Life is good yet again.

It's like a giant video game opera - with an opera inside of it. That game is amazing. Then story especially, not just as a written piece, but as something composed of seamlessly interwining narratives, music, characters, etc; it just all comes together in such an awesome and elegant way. It's definitely a testament to the power of the 16-bit medium. I'll be damned if it's not one of the most expressive games in existence.

I most definitely agree. I had always heard people give the game so much praise, but from what I saw it didn't look as good as Chrono Trigger...

I must say that it has been soooo long since I've felt the urge to do every sidequest, get every esper, and do everything there is in a game... FF6 definitely lived up, and Setzer is a badass.

Dude.. 3D is way cooler. 3D can kick 2D's ass any time of the day.

No, but seriously. I've beaten FFIII and from the character names I think 6 is some kind of remake or something..

Just to let you know, FF6 is FF3. FF3 is just the name for it outside Japan because the original 1, 2 and 3 were not released to the rest of the world until a lot later.
