Re: Google+
Looks like the new Wave. I'll bet it fails just the same.

I can send out invites, but I need e-mail addresses. I haven't really played around with it much yet.

Well, don't just stand there... friend me, bitches.
Re: Google+
Yeah, I haven't really looked into it much. I've got a group of friends who orgasm everytime Google releases a statement with a vowel...They're hopeful, which isn't saying much. ;pp
If there's any extra invites floatin around, I'm the.arce<at>gmail.com
The "circle" stuff sounds pretty tight. And did I hear something about videochat? Hmm..

Re: Google+
Actually, I kind of think the circle stuff is slightly retarded... I don't really have time to create special "circles" for everybody. I've just been adding to family and/or friends, and even then I don't care.
Circles are the same shit as subscribing to a Facebook group...

Re: Google+
No problem.
What I like about the circles is that they're anonymous so it's not as much of a popularity contest about what the relationship between people is like. It's a little more discrete.
Still though, the way a person can follow anyone (like Twitter and Youtube) makes me think it might turn into a huge "SUB4SUB" fest with people following 10000s of other people so that they'll do the same in return (so that they can advertise whatever junk MLM product they're advertising or whatever else).

Which will result in advertisers advertising other advertisers. All you have to do is ignore their requests. And, it takes a few seconds to remove someone who decides to turn into one. In case you don't want to insult a close friend by removing him, create a circle labeled "Sellouts" and drop the bastard in there.EccentricDuck wrote:Still though, the way a person can follow anyone (like Twitter and Youtube) makes me think it might turn into a huge "SUB4SUB" fest with people following 10000s of other people so that they'll do the same in return (so that they can advertise whatever junk MLM product they're advertising or whatever else).
Except one big difference -> Personal stream filtering. You don't generally need that many circles. I just created "ES Team" and "Musician buddies". I think it's a lot more flexible than having a single stream and creating mail lists every time you want to share something with a custom group. You will admit that this is awesome in time.GyroVorbis wrote:Actually, I kind of think the circle stuff is slightly retarded... I don't really have time to create special "circles" for everybody. Re: Google+
Yes, I'm liking circles so far... maybe a little too much. I have family, friends, work, competitive gamers, developers, former fellow students, "The Baddies" (a group of friends + my obnoxious cousin who game while on Skype), etc. etc. etc.
