That's right. Over at DCEmulation, Rand() began distributing what was left of the memory of Bleem! to his followers.
For those of you who don't know what Bleem! is, it was a fullspeed PSX emulator for both Dreamcast and PC. Bleem! was forced to disband by the evil Sony due to "copyright infringements." But they weren't discontinued until they had several releases from Playstation working fully on Dreamcast.
He gave ETR all of the stuff who has been distributing. I just got 4 official Bleemcast promotional stickers and 2 of his original business cards.
He also sent several of every Bleemcast disc and the PC version. Several are autographed by Rand() himself. ETR is freely distributing stickers and business cards, but they're gone now. Thank god I was the very first person to get my envelope to him.
As for the Bleem! discs, ETR is keeping them as killer prizes for upcoming Dreamcast coding contests.
Not only are these stickers VERY rare, but they're also a lasting testimony of Rand(), Bleem!cast, and they're amazing accomplishments. I'll get pictures for you guys when I get home.
I can only hope that I can win a contest for some of the actual Bleem discs...

Like just about every PSX game was emulated. I remember having a Bleem trial for PC awhile back.JS Lemming wrote:Any decent games emulated?
What you're asking is if there are any decent games emulated and released.
There were only 3 legal releases of Bleem! before Sony closed them down. Grand Tourismo, Metal Gear Solid, and something else (Tekken I think).
But then there were plenty of releases that weren't legal and leaked from a beta tester or something. Even a leaked demo disc that could supposedly play around 50 games with only minor problems was released.

Cool.
If I had really gotten a DC, then I could get some stuff for myself.

How can you possibly say that was legal? Did the makers of Bleem! make deals with those game companies or something?GyroVorbis wrote:There were only 3 legal releases of Bleem! before Sony closed them down. Grand Tourismo, Metal Gear Solid, and something else (Tekken I think).

Umm... How can you possibly say it was illegal?. You think Bleem! LLC could just publish something like that and sell it at GameStops and all DC carrying stores all accross the country if this wasn't legal? I don't think you realize what Bleem! is/was.JS Lemming wrote:How can you possibly say that was legal? It wasn't a homebrew project or anything. This is just as damn official as Mario Sunshine for your Qbe. This thing was published and was released all over the world. It just ended up getting shut down because Sony claimed it illegal.
Also, think about it. You think the makers of Gran Tourismo and such didn't like Bleem or something? That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. I think they were in the background pissing their pants for joy. Bleem!cast still required you have the original Playstation disc, it just ran it from Dreamcast. So all you're doing there is openning up a game on another platform. The companies would still be reeling in bucks from Bleem.
I think you speak out of ignorance. You obviously have no clue what Bleem! is or you wouldn't make so many quick assumptions about the legalness of it. Try Googling it or something.

I say that you're full of shit and you have no clue what the hell you're talking about.
Yeah, GameStop carries illegal games. Yeah, Bleem LLC publishes illegal stuff.
EDIT: I'm adding lots of mister greens to the end of this post because I wasn't even halfway serious. But you have to admit it did sound pretty badass.
But I still don't see how you can call it illegal. Perhaps it was, but I really doubt it (at least not until the court case with Sony).
