An in-depth preview of my upcoming game!

Post by Falco Girgis »

Little did you good people of the forum know that I've been working my ass off on a game. It is for the Sega Dreamcast. I haven't thought of a name either.

Well anyway, this is a VERY early look at the game. Only the most primitive of gameplay aspects have been implemented. At the moment, you can use a jetpack to fly around and shoot people (I haven't even made them die yet).

Here are some screens. These are taken straight from the Dreamcast and not handrawn like my last. This is what it looks like:

Heavy as hell fire, notice their life guages?

Those graphics are not staying. Coal is making graphics for the game currently. We can't use any copyrighted images because we wanted this game to be special, and unique featuring its own graphics. But mostly, we didn't wanna get sued.

Only thing that is a keeper is the life guages. That was quite a pain in the ass to make and I'm proud of 'em.

The only thing that I don't know about is music. We can't used copyrighted music. Is there a willing musician in the house?

By the way, I layed quite a bit of work on Coal. If there is an artist looking to work on a game, I'll ask Coal, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind a little help. :spin:

By the way, there will be a total of four guns:
1) pistol
2) shotgun
3) plasma rifle
4) rocket launcher
5) there most likely will be a fifth one, that'll be a surprise.

Aditional features are:
1) I hope to get rumble pack support.
2) four player
3) analog stick support
4) VERY cool additions with the dreamcast keyboard. *cough*debug mode*cough*
5) maybe a little something with the memory card if somebody can give me the code. It is assembly and there is no way in hell that I'd be able to do that by myself.

Any questions? suggestions? comments? complaints? Post your thoughts!

This game will have been my first custome made DC game ever playing when you release it. Luckily it's such a good one! I'm going to have some real fun playing this game, blowing you to hell!

Damn you, Arce, you're supposed to be a mod. Quit being so off-topic. :?

Now that you mention it, I think you could develop with nothing more than a DC emulator. I'm going to do some research and try it out. Then I'll let you know.

Please do.... well... actually maybe not, I mean, it just wouldn't be the same especially in performance and controllers. (as in, I'd never really know what my game is trully like)

DC's are only 2400 penniez. Thats not so bad....is it? Oh, yeah, I kinda forgot the 5000 penniez you need for a coder's cable, and all the CD's you need, plus all the software...x.o

Supa Sawnic, hook me up with a character size, and I'll send you some character grafix, see what you think. Don't expect much though, considering my age.

If you don't like my graphics, remember, my head will explode.
This is a joke about unfunny jokes. And bad use of irony.
