Anybody here use Discord?

A friend introduced me to it. It's like a lovechild of IRC and Skype/Teamspeak.
And it has built in markdown formatting, which is cool.

I personally hate Skype and I've been looking for an alternative to crap like Facebook chat.
Social networks have killed most independent chat protocols. I barely see IRC used anymore...

Anyway, if anybody wants to chat about programming/game dev/whatever, here's an invite:

We have a semi-official ES Discord channel, though the majority of fans are using Skype to communicate w/ Falco & team.

The moment they integrate group video calling, Skype is dead as dirt. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that's going to happen any time soon.

Edit: Apparently it's on the list, and is possibly even due in the next friends list update. Wooo! I hope it works well (everything else in Discord beats the hell out of Skype, so I'm sure it will).
