Wow..! whoa..
You bastard!
When I see something like that, I think I should just leave the whole programming thing and just hold to music.

Well, technically that's art, not programming - but dude, you could school me in music any day. As you can see in this case, I just rip music from other sources.cypher1554R wrote:Wow..! whoa..

That was an extremely well-done video. Hopefully you don't mind me asking for sex in your comments...

Re: The Official Golvellius Thread
Just a little update...
Fuck me, I've been crazy busy at work these days. (Which is why I haven't been on the forums much lately.)
But, have no fear...my next video is planned out and my huge-ass todo list is ready and waiting. I don't wanna give too much away, but if I can pull off what I want to, this next video should be pretty sweet. We'll see..
I've got a week off between Christmas and New Years, so hopefully I can knock out a good chunk during that time.

Good luck, man. I can't wait to see what you cook up.
I also plan on getting my ass back to work in that general time period. I'm pretty sure that most of us are.

I think everyone has those plans. I have a project I plan to finish, a project to fix, and a projext to start.... So I should be pretty busy, I plan on getting started pretty soon, I have some stuff to do first though...

Uhhh, wow.
Apparently my Rio model has inspired some form of "fan art." Xealot on the Milkshape forums posted this:
imo, my Rio has a better rack - but his has way better hair. :P

Re: The Official Golvellius Thread
My new vid is up!
Originally I was going to focus on AI this round, but cutscenes sounded like more fun. :P Falco and I had discussed solutions on how to implement cutscenes, and I pretty much went with Falco's solution. A lua script exists for each cutscene, and when started, the engine calls an UpdateCutscene() method each frame.
Once the engine work was done, it was DAMN easy to create the cutscene:

btw, the music was added afterwards in Movie Maker - I haven't integrated sound. I'm not crazy about the song, but it was free, and I thought it might add to the drama of the cutscene.

Re: The Official Golvellius Thread
Wow, that turned out better than I had thought. That was really epic. Especially considering I didn't know any of the storyline...
