I disagree with Bush.
It has nothing to do with desperate times and desperate measures or even preventing terrorism. It's the fact that he is taking away our liberties only semi legally. Anybody who has been following CNN would know that he hasn't even let the whole intelligence group in on what's going on.
I just saw the newest Republican senator (female) who was praising Bush a year ago (and Bush praised her back) saying that Bush had better fess up and that the time has come to reveal what in fucks name he is doing.
This isn't desperate measures, this is shady secrecy. When a Representative from you own party is telling you that you need to fuck off, it's pretty bad.

Sigh... Because we all know this is purely aimed at the masses... Because why would terrorists EVER use e-mail?
I still. dont. care.
I agree it's a bit invasive, but I don't really care. If they get to the point where they pass Invasive Cavity Search Act of 2006 I'll care.
It's e-mails... Just try not to mention the word bomb, I love terrorists, or I'm gonna blow up X building at Y hours.

Hmmmm....Well I must agree with JSL and Fox but also the give them an inch and they take a mile thing is a bit too far. Do you know how many for the lack of a better word evil things our government has done over the years? Our entire country was biult on backstabing an corruption and this supprises you? Its a very good chance that our government has been spying on us for years but untill now they are goning public. Personally I hate our government. If your so conserned about this then DO something about it! Dont just talk. Oh I am so parinoind about it but oh well maybe it I sit on my ass long enough It will change.
Thats it once im 18 im going back to Japan! America sucks. I am ashamed to be one. (I am going to hear so much crap for that)

Okay?
Wait, what the hell are you talking about?
"Our entire country was biult on backstabing an corruption and this supprises you?"
What? Please give some examples because I think most of our founding fathers didn't go around back stabbing each other to build a nation... Except for maybe Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson...

I'm not gonna do any roshambauing but it just seems a bit unreasonable to say that.
The US was actually founded on some sound principles, such as sovereignty of the people (well, that kind of went out the window a while ago but w/e).
