Haha.

I love how this conversation continues to pop up after years.

I'm most definitely theist now, with views biased towards Christianity partially because that's been my largest exposure; however, I do have some different views on certain topics and I cannot pretend that my previous agnostic/atheistic beliefs don't shape the way I view religion. ;P

I personally believe strongly in love and cannot see how one can place so much importance in non-materialistic abstract emotionality as I do and not believe/hope there is some kind of higher purpose to life.

The only difference is the stakes are higher.
OMG.. You're right.. If they find out that leprechauns aren't real.. We're in trouble.. A big one.. :s

I believe Love is just another adaptation technique, as is Fear, Aggression, etc.

Evolutionarily, you become afraid and flight to save your ass.
You become aggressive to protect your turf, children, or mate.
You love in order to pro-create. It's a beneficial thing. The attachment to another being, even animals feel.
I don't really see love as related to god at all. Love is an emotion.

That's a very deep and intellectual argument. I'm inclined to completely agree with you.

He said let there be sarcasm but that one fizzled.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.
