I prefer smart girls so I like meeting girls in college rather than at the mall.

also doctors make a lot more money.
Most doctors are very in debt because of all of the school that's required - not to mention the cost of malpractice insurance.

But I dunno man, if you really want to do it, more power to ya...but you have a LONG road ahead. My wife is in nursing school, and she's had study a metric dickload more than I ever did as a CS major. :P

Bottom line, find something you love and get paid for it. Trust me, I wouldn't have my job if I didn't LOVE programming...there have been several days in my career when I wanted to say, "FUCK THIS!" and take up basket weaving...

As for females in CS...there were a few at my school. Most of them were asian, but not the fun, porno kind of asian.

Like I said, more ladies in Engineering and Math and the Sciences.

I hang out around CS in class, but I also used to hang out in the school's Physics Lounge all the dang time last year, and at my last college I'd hang out with the Engineering club.
Oh, and NOW I'm hanging out with the Robotics club and IEEE (Electrical Engineers).

Just because you belong to one degree doesn't mean you have to stay in the Computer lab all the time or anything. People aren't going to go "HEY, YOU ARE COMPY, YOU DON'T BELONG WITH PHYSICS!". If anything, just another viewpoint to bring to the table.

I meant girls outside of your classes while still on college grounds. And money is pointless. Sure, we all need money, but money is nothing but trouble if you've got too much of it. Earn lots of knowledge and experience; that should be your "riches". You can't take money with you when you die. And assuming there is an afterlife, knowledge, memories and experiences will always be there.

Okay... so tell us... why do you want to become a doctor OTHER than the money and the girls in the class, because if that is all, that is the worse reason in the world.

What? Money and bitches sounds like a fine reason to do anything to me.

The only thing that I value in my life more than money and bitches is passion. If he finds passion in neither Computer Science nor Medical School, he is so making the right decision.

hmm...Your logic seams correct, but wrong at the same time.

Without passion you've got nothing.

You know there are other fields that make money, besides just doctors. :P

Lawyers.

Engineers.

Bankers.

If you do go into some medical field, Optometry and Dentistry seem the most appealing to me. Don't have to deal with any of the bloody stuff (well, stuff doesn't get quite as bad with eyes and teeth, anyway)

My wife is in the medical field, I used to work at a lawfirm, and I'm an engineer.

Out of the professions listed above, I would defintely pick engineer...but that that's just me. ;)
