Re: Project NATAL
Ditto on Molyneux promising the world and delivering an average experience. He should no longer be allowed to hype games.

Re: Project NATAL
Both of these looks amazing, and I personally think that the talk with Milo wasn't scripted, while the video was exactly that, a recorded video I don't see a reason to lie. Only issues I see are latency, in the video featuring Milo you can see that when the girl puts her hand in the water it's a bit laggy, but when that Sony one come's out and I can virtual-archery some orc, I'm gonna be jizzing my pants all day long.

That's what I thought at first, but it's actually the name of a brazillian city, pronounced nat-all not nate-alPickzell wrote:Why'd they name it after... ...pregnancy
Each to their own I guess, I mean who didn't say "WTF?" when they first heard the name wii (ahh memories )

You know what, after watching the new Zero Punctuation vid titled "The second annual E3 hype massacre".Innerscope wrote:That was impressive. Still not at the same level as the video though. I'm still a bit sceptical on how well it would handle multi-player, and the whole Milo/A.I. thing.Video of Natal in action. From what I hear the red suits aren't required, but who knows how true that is.
And looking at the Milo video again... I'm abs(sure) it's not real.
Changing title again.

Project NATAL.
A revolutionary new way to play: no controller required. See a ball? Kick it, hit it, trap it or catch it. If you know how to move your hands, shake your hips or speak you and your friends can jump into the fun -- the only experience needed is life experience.
What do you think about this?
Can this really be called a game?
Is it too human?
ISN'T IT SCARY?
Think of all the possibilities!(interactive porn)
A Project NATAL Commercial/Showoff:
(not about the AI, but more the motion capture)

Re: Project Nay-Tal
My sister and I are split on this...
She thinks it looks cool and will lead to innovative gameplay, while I'm stuck wondering... "How the hell do you play HARDCORE games?! How are you going to move around?"
First person shooters, RPGs, platformers, etc.
It's sort of like how on the iPhone they put a little d-pad on-screen for some games when they need it, but it feels awful.
I don't want to spend [what will probably be] an ungodly amount of money for a party game toy.

Re: Project Nay-Tal
I don't think they designed it with hardcore games in mind. That's like hardcore gaming on the Wii, it just doesn't work well. But hardcore isn't always best.Moosader wrote:My sister and I are split on this...

Re: Project Nay-Tal
These new motion capture technologies don't seem to have a better use then sex games
Now really... people need to get used to this, we are used to a mouse which isn't always the best, the transformation may take several years but I'm sure these new technologies will enter the mainstream and be for hardcore gaming.
