Yeah.. you need Mage or Sorcerer, someone that does magic.
Not really. I left those out because they are effectively DPS (damage). Regardless of what type of damage they do.
I suppose.. but they're not really the same. Categories and classes are two COMPLETELY different concepts in my mind. Sure hitting someone with lightning bolts and slashing someone with a sword are both "damage".. but they add two very different elements to an RPG.

The four classes thing is pretty much it because most RPGs don't feature a complex enough combat system to really incorporate more complex stuff. RPGs are my most beloved genre, but there are a few problems that really cripple them and the ceiling for distinct characters is one.
Thiefs change it up a bit since stealing loot doesn't bring immediate gratification in the fight but can be a greater benefit later on - that makes them a bit unique from the four class groups. Jack of all trades also adds a bit to the mix since they can shift roles but don't do any particularly well - that brings it to six. Is there an original idea out there to be had or do you just need to have a totally different type of game?

What about a storage class? hold other people's stuff and can trip people by picking their nose and throwing it on the ground.

You can do that in guild wars... just combine classes :P nothing new though cos the mage has low hp and armor and the war the other way around :p
You can teach a mule how to program but he will still be a mule.

How about Ninjas?
Like a stealth class or something.
So they have high evasion, high speed, can turn invisible and do standard damage,
but they have low endurance.
Also, how about... well... we'll call them douchebags for now. They can steal other peoples abilities, as a douchebag would steal your jokes.

A.
Guild War's Assassins....(yep, guild wars again...), and for stealing abilities there are Mesmers...
Assassin is just a warrior with low armor, fast attacks and normal damage, can move extremely fast and teleport to enemies/friends.
Mesmer can be called a support since he can manipulate enemies; turn their attacks against them and shit like that.
B.
Douchbag.... sounds interesting

Bit Caster
Someone who specializes in a combination of technology and elemental magics.
Some ideas of a Bit Caster.
- Summons mechanical minions enchanted by a selection of elements to carry out the Bit Casters bidding.
- Uses a mechanical platform as means of travel across long distances.
- Could summon a mechanical dome completely shielding the Bit Caster from harms way under heavy fire for a short period of time.
- Could conjure a projectile time bomb to eliminate enemies from long distance.
- Each spell of a Bit Caster would have the ability to be customized. The character could choose an element to infuse with each of the mechanical creations giving each spell a variety of different affects.
// Just made that up as I went along... I might use this idea in one of my games.

Sounds like nano-technician and/or meta-physicist professions from Anarchy Online
